I’ve had CaliPlug one other time before this jar. I picked up a half oz of some smalls a few years back, but I don’t really remember how it smoked, it wasn’t very memorable. Since then, I’ve noticed CaliPlug gain a lot of attraction due to their version of the toad, Cheetoad. I recently seen this  new edition of Cheetoad, a collab with Anwar Carrots. I personally really like the brand Carrots, they’ve collaborated with other cannabis brands before such as Timeless and PlugPlay so I had to check this drop out!

I didn’t personally pickup this jar, so I had a close friend grab it for me at B Eazy’s 420 event. If I’m being honest, my friend told me he had a terrible experience with the people over at CaliPlug. He said that they were very rude and had crazy attitude. On top of that, they would not allow anyone to check the flower out but to purchase based off of which jars they had out. Despite this interaction, I still went ahead and reviewed the jar. 

The first few whiffs I took, I was getting a strong gas paired with a musky funk. I noticed a light layer of herbal and earthiness, along with a bit of sweetness towards the end.

I really appreciated the structure of the buds. They had thin stems with sticky, dense sepals, so it felt like I was getting more bud than stem. A lot of the time when I weigh my flower it ends up weighing more than what I think because of thick stems, but that’s not the case here. 

As the flower burned, it produced this grey ash, it wasn’t quite salt n pepper, but it also wasn’t white either. I had this bubbly oil ring pop out and stick with me for my entire burn time. The aroma translated perfectly into taste, I was picking up on those same gassy and funky terps with a light sweet background. 

When the effects hit, I stated to feel this overwhelming happiness with a heavy relaxation throughout my body. It honestly really smacked me, I felt like everything was in slow motion. I was very talkative as well as excited. 

It’s unfortunate about the customer service my friend endured, but I’m not going to lie and say this jar was trash. I actually really enjoyed smoking on it. Will I be back for more from CaliPlug? Not any time soon. Good weed doesn’t outweigh poor customer service. I hope that in the future they’re able to conduct themselves differently.
